How the Square Sandbox works
Square provisions a separate Sandbox for each application you register, reachable at connect.squareupsandbox.com with its own credentials. You can create up to 10 test seller accounts, each with a Sandbox Square Dashboard that shows the results of your API calls from the seller's side. Test card numbers and payment tokens simulate real scenarios, including declines, across Payments, Orders, Subscriptions, Terminal and more, and none are ever charged. It is free. The main limits are that some regions are unsupported in the Sandbox and a handful of APIs behave slightly differently than production.
