Privacy & cookies

The short version: our analytics only start after you accept, we show no ads and do no cross-site tracking, and we only ask for your details when you choose to contact a vendor or subscribe. Decline analytics and the site works exactly the same.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which comparisons and pages are useful, so we can improve them. It loads only after you accept in the cookie banner (Google Consent Mode v2, with analytics storage denied by default). When enabled, GA4 records things like pages viewed, approximate location (country and city, derived from a truncated IP), device and browser type, the referring site, and on-page actions such as scrolls and outbound clicks. We have disabled every advertising signal: no ad personalization, no remarketing, no cross-site advertising.

Managing your consent

Changed your mind? You can withdraw or update your choice at any time. This clears your stored preference and brings the banner back so you can choose again.

You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.

You can ask us to access or delete the details you have submitted. Email [email protected] and we will action it.

Data retention

GA4 data is retained for 14 months. Form submissions are kept while they are relevant to your enquiry or your newsletter subscription, and are removed on request.
